Hygiene:

CMWRC has established procedures for proper hand-washing by all the attendees at the Summer Camp and these procedures will be fully implemented during the Summer Camp.

Swamijis Bhiksha Guidelines:

Camp families can offer bhiksha to Swamiji and other teachers during the course of the camp. The Parent Volunteer page on this website outlines the days and meals families can sign-up to offer bhiksha.

Bhiksha simply means ALMS. Our Scriptures state that Brahmacharins and Sannyasins seek Bhiksha from Devotees and Householders. They do not cook for themselves. Thus it becomes our Dharma to provide Bhiksha. Merely the presence of Brahmacharins and Sannyasins sanctifies our very Being. The attitude with which we provide Bhiksha is of utmost importance. While we provide food to sustain the body of the Sannyasins, we ask for the Jnana Bhiksha (ALMS of Spiritual Knowledge, Devotion, and Dispassion). Please click here for detailed SWAMIJI's BHIKSHA GUIDELINES.

Field Trips:

On some Fridays, there will be a field trip or swimming.

Parent Volunteers:

The camp is entirely run by volunteers. Review the options for volunteering your time and talents on the PARENT VOLUNTEER registration page. All parents are required to volunteer time in some way to the camp preparation, operation, or cleanup.

Youth Volunteers:

Youth entering grades 8-12 for the Fall 2012 school year can apply to be Youth Volunteers at the summer camp. Please check out the Youth Volunteer Guidelines page for all the details.

Communication:

Communications between the camp sevaks and the participants are done via e-mail and it is imperative that we have your current e-mail address to keep you informed of current and forthcoming activities. Please ensure that you use only this email for Mission purposes as this is tied up with your registration. Please send all registration correspondence to mdsummercamp@chinmayadc.org
